Mission / History
NewCorp Inc. is a 501(c) (3) organization that was formed in 1995. NewCorp, Inc. is a certified Community Development Institution (CDFI whose mission is to be an economic development catalyst by providing technical and financial assistance to small and emerging businesses to improve their basic business capabilities by way of training, counseling, planning and financial products and services.
NewCorp, Inc. is governed by a Board of Directors whose members are community leaders who are active in guiding the mission of the organization and in raising the capital to fund its programs. As a small governing board, each member is intimately involved in the management oversight of the organization. Operations of the organization are managed by the President / Executive Directors. Other staff consists of a Loan Fund Manager, Program Manager, Compliance Manager, Accounting Director, Contracting Services Manager and Administrative Assistant.
NewCorp, Inc.’s staff brings an extensive range of experience in business development, accounting and finance, marketing, training, and fiduciary agent management. The staff continues to lead NewCorp, Inc. by developing systems and an organizational structure to support successful program development and implementation.
NewCorp, Inc.’s target market is located primarily in Orleans and Jefferson parishes and the surrounding parishes of St. Bernard, St. Tammany, St. Charles, St. John, and Plaquemines. The entire state of Louisiana is NewCorp, Inc.’s secondary target market.
